Claus Feldmann is a distinguished Professor of Chemistry at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), one of the most prestigious universities in Germany, and the Spokesperson of the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry. He specializes in the development of novel materials, particularly nanoparticles. He has over 15 years of experience in developing nanoparticulate drug-delivery systems and invented the (Dual)-Hybrid-NP system. Throughout his research, he has established numerous collaborations with medical experts, who have tested the efficacy of numerous (Dual)-Hybrid-NP in various disease models. One of his longest-standing collaborators is the second founder, Prof. Frauke Alves. Additionally, his seven-year tenure at Philips Research Laboratories, Aachen/Eindhoven, has provided him with valuable insights into industrial practice and the challenges to be faced outside the academic environment.
